About

An active amateur astronomer as time permits, contending with the light polluted skies of Central London but with a desire for observing the deep sky. I am a fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, a member of the British Astronomical Association as well as the Webb Deep Sky Society.

This blog is simply a light hearted folly, a place to share what I find interesting in the world of astronomy and a place to document my own occasional humble efforts with a modest telescope and camera from my back yard in London.

I have a keen interest in the use of video camera / electronically assisted astronomy that enables me to counter some of the detrimental affects of the severe light pollution, allowing me to observe some of the more distant wonders of the universe which would otherwise be impossible to observe from my home location.

I hope you find my astronomy ‘antics’ interesting. Thanks for visiting.

  1. I prefer the moon photos. Anything else I could say would either be lacking in any knowledge or jokey, Neither of those would seem to fit, so best just say ‘good show’.
